TV actor Graham Wardle who plays “Ty” on CBC’s show Heartland. Wardle grew up in New Westminster and is shooting Heartland’s current season.

Kevin “Chief” Zaruk, of Chief Music Management, is a former long-serving sound manager for the internationally successful rock band Nickleback and currently manages popular rock bands such as Faber Drive and Hinder.

Don McLeod, a New Westminster resident and co-founder of the School Alliance of Student Songwriters (SASS), a co-presenter of Song Search New West, will also be a judge. Don is a songwriter/producer who gained recognition early in his career by winning local song writing contests such 99.3FM’s Seeds contest in1997, and Z95.3FM’s song-writing contest in 2002. Don also placed second in a national song writing contest with Standard Radio in 2002. Since then Don has worked with well known writers and artists such as Jim Vallance (Bryan Adams, Aerosmith), Vincent De Giorgio (N*SYNC, Love Inc), Brian Howes (Daughtry, Hinder, Hedley), Sean Hosien and Dane DeViller (Kelly Rowland, Jessica Simpson, The Corrs), Jeff Dawson (Daniel Powder), Tommy MacDonald (Hedley), Dallas Smith and Danny Craig (Default), Dale Russell (The Guess Who), Shaun Verreault (Wide Mouth Mason), Trevor Guthrie (Soul decision), Vicky Wootten (the Tennessee Three), Chin Injeti (Bass is Bass), and Jaydee Bixby (runner-up on Canadian Idol).
